UK Mediation events are on the increase, with several scheduled for December 2013. This again highlights the popularity of mediation services, the need, mediations increasing presence and the fact that it is finally starting to be considered more seriously than before and favoured as an alternative dispute resolution procedure compared to traditional civil litigation.
Mediation and Training Alternatives (MATA) are running their final Masterclass ever on Wednesday 4th December 2013, with a 6pm start and an 8pm close. The series of Masterclasses have ran for a number of years profiling distinguished speakers who are mediators recognised for their mediation practices and specifically their outstanding reputations.
This Masterclass shall be hosted by Lawrence Kershen QC, who is well known within the UK Mediation scene, accredited through CEDR nearly 20 years ago.
The cost of the Masterclass shall be £60.00 and it shall take place at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, 12 Bloomsbury Square, London, WC1A 2LP.
Again on the 4th December 2013 Maria Arpa the former Chair of Mediation UK, who currently runs an organisation called Peaceful Solutions is holding a live mediation observation.
On Thursday 5th December 2013, the Midlands Mediation Network will be hosting a mediation event at Bert Williams Leisure Centre, Nettlefolds Way, Bilston, WV14 0EF, with three speakers who will be discussing the supervision of mediators for quality improvement, mediation by young people for young people and experiential diversity; understanding discrimination.
Again on Thursday the 5th December 2013 the ADR Group will be holding their annual conference in Oxford. This years conferences format differs slightly to previous years, as there will be a mediation competition as well as the usual conference format and talks from a range of well known speakers, such as Professor Dominic Regan, who has spoken at previous conferences, who is highly informative as well as amusing.
